PRIMARY NOTIONS IN NEURO-ANATOMY. ANATOMO-IMAGING CORRELATIONS

VENUE: The courses will be held in the amphitheatre of the laboratory of video-assisted surgery from the Department of Anatomy, at the basement of the Faculty of Medicine – hall TOMA IONESCU.
The practice part of the course will be held in the hall of anatomy KREȚULESCU, at the ground floor of the Faculty of Medicine.
The maximum number of participants: 40 persons.

Target audience: Residents and young specialists in neurology, neuro-paediatrics and medical imaging.
NOTA BENE: The students of this course will be rewarded with a participation certificate.

Ist SECTION

10.00-11.00 The course  will be held by Anatomy Lecturer Mihaly Enyedi, medical imaging specialist: „The anatomic context, structural markers in neuro-anatomy”
The course  will be held by Răzvan Stănciulescu, medical imaging specialist:  „Anatomo-angiographic aspects of the cerebral vascularization”

11.00-12.30 HANDS ON
1.    The study of external configuration of  encephalon, cerebellum and cerebral trunck on formolized pieces
2.    Making the anatomic sections of cerebral emispheres in CT and MRI specific exploration plans
3.    Identification of the anatomic elements on specific sections

12.30-13.30: Coffee break

IInd SECTIONS

13.30 The course  will be held  by Neurosurgery lecturer Toader Corneliu, neurosurgery specialist: „Neurosurgical vascular micro-anatomy of carotid body”

The course  will be held  by Anatomy Lecturer Mihaly Enyedi, medical imaging specialist: „Anatomo-imaging correlations on standard sections”

The course  will be held  by Anatomy Lecturer Eugen Tarta, medical imaging specialist: “Functional imaging applications for anatomical nervous structures evaluation”

Hands-on (we kindly ask the students of this course to come with their own laptop on which we shall install a program of showing the CT and MRI images and the study images. These will be compared on site with anatomic sections brought by the organisers).
•    Identification and correlation of the structural elements between imaging and anatomic sections.
